Ruby Woo is RiRi’s favorite MAC lipstick and I can totally see why.
After years of hearing about Ruby Woo, I finally decided it was time to see what all the fuss was about. I had originally stayed away from this lipstick due to its extremely drying, matte formula, but Rihanna was the one that finally sold me on it.

This look was inspired by MAC’s Guilty Passions Cremesheen lip glass, Kiss Don’t Tell. Chrissy was nice enough to pass it on to me when she was here visiting and it resulted in love upon first swatch. If ever there were a perfect nude lip gloss for WOC, this is it. It’s amazingly pigmented and the most perfect accompaniment to my favorite nude lipstick of …Read more »
So, for my 26th birthday, I treated myself with a trip to Vegas, but at the last second I decided to extend my vacation and fly to San Francisco from Vegas to visit Anisha! I was so sick with a cold once I got there, but thankfully she keeps a small pharmacy in her apartment. Once I was feeling better I met up with Anisha at work and we went makeup shopping! I knew I definitely wanted to make a trip to INGLOT because I've never seen them outside of trade-shows like IMATS. The only place I know they have a counter is in the Macy's in San Francisco. I was able to purchase a five piece freedom system eyeshadow palette and a small angled brush for just $56! When we got back from the city, we started playing with our makeup. Anisha tried to film a tutorial for you all, but sadly her camera ran out of memory right in the middle of filming. Tragic! She ended up turning it into an FOTD which I hope she'll share with us sometime next week. I chose to create an FOTD with all the Inglot eyeshadows I bought.Read more »
Since I usually go pretty dramatic on my eyes, I've come to rely on nude lips to tone down my look - No one likes a clown face. So when I was purchasing the prize for our December Makeup Madness Giveaway on maccosmetics.com, I was extremely tempted to also buy this 4 piece nude lip gloss kit too. So tempted, I just went ahead and added it to my cart. I really have no self control, haha.Read more »
With Christmas around the corner, I wanted to do a quick trial run of my Christmas dinner makeup. I knew I wanted something wearable and festive with a pop of red. I ended up keeping the eyes pretty subtle favoring shimmery, neutral shades and went all out on the lips. I ditched the traditional lip liner and carefully filled in my lips using a lip …Read more »

Every now and then I chance upon a product that I absolutely love yet never really get to use. The reality of being a beauty blogger is that you rarely get to stick to any given product for a long period of time. There’s always something new to buy, try, and report on. While it definitely has its perks, there’s something to be said about …Read more »
Colored eyebrows? You betcha! I don’t know why I’ve never done this before… I broke my colored eyebrow cherry at IMATS and absolutely LOVED how it looked so I thought I’d give my eyebrows a make-over again!
While I, personally, don’t have a problem wearing a look like this out, I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. If you’re interested in something equally festive …Read more »
One of the easiest ways to sport a bright pop of color is a bold lip! It’s simple, easy, and virtually fool-proof. The trick to make your eyes as subtle and soft as possible while really highlighting whatever lipstick you’ve selected. I personally love using shimmery eyeshadows in the same color family and tone as my skin tone. It’s super subtle and just gives your …Read more »
