After seeing some pictures and a video from user “sasakiasahi” on YouTube of simple black eyeliner look highlighted by a bright color liner, I decided to stop by CVS Pharmacy to buy some colored eyeliners. I was trying to find some good Wet ‘n’ Wild ones, but after no luck, I ended up leaving with Milani’s Color Brilliance Eye Pencil in 02 Aqua and 03 Green for under $3 since it was on sale.
I tried the look with the aqua pencil upon purchase, and I really, really, really like it! The pencil glides on really smoothly, and it’s got this beautiful metallic gleam to it. The aqua definitely shines through. I was really pleased with it because it made my brown eyes pop; it really stands out! I received compliments on the look as well. As for the green eyeliner, it’s the same texture and all of course, and the green is really pretty. It, too, is metallic, and has a very slight gold tint to it.
The eyeliner overall is very pigmented and creamy. With primer, it doesn’t smudge either, but I’m sure it would smudge a bit without it. It’s definitely comparable to Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils, so you ought to try these out if you don’t want to spend $18 on the UD ones.
