Actually, like Deanna, I own a nude primer lipstick too by Victoria Secret. It's OK but I hate how it dry up my lip. I have that problem too. :)

I've been meaning to mention this alternative afer reading your exfoliating sheet article---SUGAR! If you add some regular granulated sugar to your face wash, it does some very nice exfoliation. It's kind of like when you use facial scrubs that have granules in it (like the St. Ives Apricot Srcub). Super cheap, super convenient. Even if you just use ordinary soap to wash your face, you can always add some sugar to get rid of that dead surface skin and give yourself that extra glow!

I didn't know about MAC lip erase, but I recently found a matte nude lipstick by Revlon called Nude Attitude (from their matte line). I have pretty dark colored lips, and I find that particular nude lipstick works really well to "wash out" my lips so that I can apply any color over it. Of course, this means having one more item in your makeup bag, rather than using your foundation.
