Happy summer, everyone! To celebrate the first day of summer, I decided to something fun, colorful, and wearable!

While I’m not a huge beach person, I always seem to associate the hot summer days with the cool breeze of the ocean and hoards of people peppered all over the sand. Picnics under an umbrella, bonfires in the sand, and barbecues in the pits while watching the sunset — fantastic memories of my Socal life!

Creating this look was like whipping up a little piece of home for me. I have distinct memories of celebrating major milestones in my life with family and friends at the beach, so it kinda made me feel a little less homesick. The conclusion of our day was always chomping down on some s’mores while watching the sun sink into the ocean so I really wanted to recreate that.

It took 6 colors, a ton of blending, and all three of my Sugarpill palettes but I think the result was way worth it. I ended up with what I thought was the perfect sunset!
