Wet N Wild – Sugar Coat

Okay, so the Wet N Wild Megalast nail polishes have become somewhat of an addiction for me. After trying out On A Trip and loving it, I ended up picking up three more colors — Sugar Coat, Candy-licious, and Disturbia — since Walgreens was having a buy two get one free sale.

I ended up sporting Sugar Coat, a pastel, slightly pinky peach shade, since I wanted something a little more subtle after a week of sporting Layla’s Magneffect Nail Polish in Turqouise Wave.

I have to say that this shade was a huge disappointment. The other colors in this line are wonderfully opaque so I expected no less from Sugar Coat. What I ended up with after 3 coats was an unacceptable, awkwardly sheer, unattractive nail color. It took about 5 coats to get this to where it is in the picture above.

I ended up swiping it off 10 minutes after taking pictures just because 5 coats = ridiculous drying time. As much as I love this color, I don’t think I’ll be reaching for it anytime soon. That in itself makes me sad considering I rarely find pastel colors that are so complimentary to my skin tone.

Hopefully I find something similar in the new Sally Hansen pastel collection I’ll be scrutinizing during my lunch break!
